Spring Bible Fellowship

Main tenants and core values:

We will be a church (defined as a group of believers/disciples) based on grace and truth in Jesus Christ.

We believe and teach that Jesus is the head of HIS church, not men.

We will follow the Bible (rightly divided) as the rule of practice in life and in the church. There is no private interpretation of scriptures. The scripture is the best interpreter of itself.

We believe and teach that no part of the Law of Moses is bound on the church of the New Testament (i.e. no circumcision, no animal sacrifices, no tithing)

We are called to be one in the spririt, and that we prove to the world that we are HIS disciples by our love for one another.

We are called to lift one another up and encourage one another daily to love and good works.

We believe that 'church' does not just "happen" on Sundays and/or Wednesdays for a couple of hours at a time. But that church manifests when two or three believers gather together in the name of Jesus, regardless of place, time, or language.

We believe that we have been bought/redeemed with a price, Jesus' shed blood on the cross and that only through HIM do we have access to the Father/God.

We believe that, as christians, we no longer live for self, but for the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the gospel should be preached/proclaimed to the lost and dying world.

We believe that the purpose for gathering beleivers together as a large group on Sunday is for praising the Lord and for teaching/edification.

We believe and teach that each believer is to be held accountable in love by each other.

We believe and teach that every believer is a priest and minister.

We believe that the fellowship of believers are led by elders through their godly example and life.

We believe in the power of prayer. We believe that we should continually pray for each other and for the cause of Christ.

We believe in the sanctity of life and the dignity of death.

We believe that it is impossible to "join" a church. God adds to the church daily those who are being saved. Hence, being a part of the church (the called out ones of God, the assembly, the body of Christ, the bride) is a work of God.

We support missions.

We support the poor.

We support the downtrodden.

We support those who have left abusive churches and other harmful groups.
